Artists Bio;
TOKYO ZAWINUL BACH – Masayasu Tzboguchi is one of the foremost keyboardists in Japan today, creating groove-based electro-jazz which appeals to jazz fans and club-goers alike. Based in Tokyo, he is well-known as the leader of “Tokyo Zawinul Bach”, a unique electro-jazz unit which integrates the algorithmic sequencing software “M” in compositions and performances. “Tokyo Zawinul Bach” has garnered praises from around the world, including from the late Joe Zawinul himself who once invited Tzboguchi to play at Joe Zawinul’s Birdland in Vienna (that performance was never realized, unfortunately). Tzboguchi has released 7 albums with “Tokyo Zawinul Bach”, the most recent of which features saxophonist Yosvany Terry. As a sought-after sideman and producer, Tzboguchi has worked with an eclectic mix of distinguished performers including shamisen player Hiromitsu Agatsuma (for whom he produced an album), saxophonist Naruyoshi Kikuchi (Tzboguchi is an active member of Naruyoshi Kikuchi’s Dub Sextet which has a large following in Japan), and film director Hiroshi Nakajima (Tzboguchi scored his film “Lily”). Tzboguchi has performed with many leading musicians such as Arto Lindsay, Han Bennink, Yoshihide Otomo, Pedro Martinez, Richie Flores, Yosuke Yamashita, Koichi Makigami, Kazuhisa Uchihashi, Kahimi Karie, and the legendary Taiko drummer Eitetsu Hayashi.

DIZZY VENTILATORS is a unique electo-duo of Japanese keyboardist, Yusuke Yamamoto, Belgian drummer, Daniel Jodocy. The two had previously collaborated on the Grammy-nominated Brazilian Girls album, “New York City”. With their roots firmly in the downtown club scene, the duo continues to produce sounds of the city, incorporating punk rock elements to chill beats.
