The Silk Road is the ancient trade route that connected Europe to the Middle and Far East. It was a significant factor in the development of the civilizations of China, Japan, Persia, Turkey, and Europe. In their music, August Denhard, Tomoko Sugawara and Danny Mallon will travel the Silk Road from east to west, giving vivid colors of these cultures. The artists each bring perspectives from different musical worlds as they create seamless connections of tunes, rhythm, and improvisation.
